Ranch Hitch Offset Gooseneck Adapter
Item 97-1029 | MFR# 3139
This is the perfect adapter for farmers and ranchers with Gooseneck and 5th wheel trailers! Now available with an 8" offset for use with short bed trucks! The adapter fits 2-5/16" hitch balls and features a 3" vertical adjustment. It's the only adapter on the market with a remote control latch release to let you easily couple and uncouple your hitch ball without getting into the bed of the truck. This adapter carries a V-19 certification for 24,000 lb trailer GVW with 6,000 lb tongue weight.
The bell shaped receiver allows for the hitch ball and adapter to be as much as 3" off center, and still slide into place correctly.
Installation is simple and takes less than an hour. The use of a wheel puller is required. To determine if the Ranch Hitch adapter will fit your rig: on level ground, position your truck under the level 5th wheel. Measure the distance from the top of the king pin, to the top of the ball in the bed of the truck. This measurement should be within the adjustment range of the adapter which is 11-3/4" to 14-3/4". And you should have 5"-6" clearance between the overhang of the fifth wheel and sideboards of your truck bed. Click for complete installation instructions for the Ranch Hitch adapter.
A word of CAUTION. This adapter applies additional stress and leverage to the 5th wheel pin box, and is not recommended for use on extended or unreinforced pin boxes. Check with the manufacturer of your trailer for their recommendation.
